Veteran bilingual journalist Hilaire Bule is the new Government Public Relations Officer (PRO).
He succeeds Mr. Ricky Binihi who was the government’s mouthpiece under the Sato Kilman-led government.
Mr. Bule is well versed in reporting on political issues as well as investigative journalism and is already communicating well with the media outlets in the country.
He is the author behind the Vanuatu Indigenous Watch blog, a main contributor to the news content in the Vila Times newspaper, a Radio New Zealand correspondent, a former senior journalist at The Independent weekly newspaper and previously the Vanuatu Broadcasting and Television Corporation.
The new PRO is keen on ensuring factual information is disseminated to the people.
Mr. Bule received his official appointment on Friday, February 26, 2016.
