Forty-four participants were part of successful weeklong Women’s Leadership Skills Workshop in Luganville.

The workshop was hosted by Further Arts- a charitable association based in Port Vila.

It was part of the ‘Wivim Nesen Tugeta’ project funded by the Commonwealth Foundation.

The project initiative supports and encourages women in villages, communities, provinces and national level, into leadership roles and managing challenges they may face in those roles.

The SANMA workshops had 43 women and one male participants.

Further Arts and WNT partnered with the Santo Apostolic Church and Northern Islands Market Vendors Association to create a safe space for the mostly women participants to share their experiences, ideas and suggestions about women’s participation in leadership in the country.

‘Wivim Nasen Tugeta’ and Further Arts said they are grateful to the Santo Police Force in Luganville for their contribution to the workshops.
