Fest’Napuan has unveiled its new logo for 2017.

This year, Vanuatu’s premier music festival is celebrating its association with the Pacific Mini Games, VAN2017, and Fest Napuan’s will relocate for one year only to Korman stadium in Port Vila.

In the logo, long-time Fest’Napuan graphic designer, David Ambong, has incorporated VAN2017’s mascot, Nasi the friendly blue-headed Rainbow Lorikeet. At the heart of the design and acknowledging VAN2017’s own logo are the eternal flames of sporting friendship in Vanuatu’s national colours.

In addition, uniting ‘music mo sport’, a cleverly merged guitar pours notes through Nasi into the air.

Completing the logo and the shared meanings of music and sport, Vanuatu’s playful linguistic diversity comes to the fore with catchphrases in Bislama, English and French:

Yumi On Nomo! Play On! and Jouons!

Fest’Napuan, usually organised for September or October each year, will this year be held in conjunction with the Pacific Games, at the Pacific Games site at Tassariki, on the evenings between December 8 – 14, with international and local artists coming together to share music, culture and sports in the Pacific region.
