The Fiji Met Service has warned that a newly formed tropical cyclone, Gina, is approaching Vanuatu's Pentecost and Ambrym islands.
The out of season category one storm has sustained winds of about 40 knots, or about 75 kilometres at its centre.
These winds are forecast to increase in intensity.
It's moving slowly in a south-westerly direction.
