Henry Vira had been appointed the new Director General of the Ministry of Health.
Vira said the new position comes with a lot of responsibilities.
“This position is different from the past experience.”
“It is obviously a big undertaking, given the Covid-19 pandemic, it is quite a challenge but I am confident with the team available, and development partners, we can get through this”
Vira aims to use youths to create more awareness of the pandemic.
“I will be in discussion with managers and directors as well. Be transparent and accountable in what we do.”
Vira is not new to the government fraternity, as he was former Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
