The newly minister for Youth Development and Sports, Honorable Francois Chani has assured staff of the Ministry and Department of Youth Development and Sports (MoYDS), Vanuatu National Sports Commission (VNSC) and the Vanuatu National Youth Council (VNYC)
Honorable Minister Chani made this statement during a first day meeting with staff held at the Ministry of youth development and sport office in Port Vila. He was briefed by Director General of MoYDS Henry Vira outlining brief background for the Ministry and the current activity planning for both Youth and Sport section.
During his official remarks the Minister said, “We are a team. This means we have to work as one. We have to work in a way that will be of beneficiary to this ministry. We will continue to work accordingly to what this ministry is destined to do to continue to addressing issues of young people and sport development in Vanuatu”.
Minister Chani also said that his leadership in this ministry will be another new step to take. He also mentioned that Policies that are already in place have already set direction, boundaries and guidance to allow staff to work to achieve its goals.
