The ‘Race for Water Odyssey’ vessel, which is on a mission to demonstrate sustainable solutions for ocean conservation, is currently berthed at the Port Vila harbour.

Their mission is to raise awareness on marine plastic pollution.

They are also here to offer land-based solutions to tackle the threat of plastics entering the ocean.

On Monday 8 April the team will also organize a “From plastic waste to energy” workshop with local communities in Efate.

The vessel will depart for Solomon Islands on Sunday 14 April.

The Odyssey, a unique shaped catamaran, left Lorient, northwestern France, in April 2017 on a five-year expedition around the world in order to propose, one hand, solutions for the preservation of the oceans against plastic pollution.
