A Vanuatu MP has been sacked as the Parliamentary Secretary for Revenue Initiatives, in a move he claims is politically motivated.
John Sala, who is the member for South Malekula, told The Daily Post that he received a termination letter before Christmas.
He said he had not been given a reason for his dismissal, but he believed the motivation was political.
Mr Sala, who is a member of the governing Graon Mo Jastis Pati, would not say who had replaced him.
He said he prepared hand over notes and waited to brief the incoming secretary, but they never showed up.
